WASHINGTON, DC – Despite Republican requests that the Senate Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee wait for the Environmental Protection Agency to conduct a full analysis of the impacts and costs of the Kerry-Boxer cap-and-trade bill, EPW Committee Democrats today voted the bill out of committee and onto the full Senate for consideration.
In response to the Committee’s action, U.S. Senator Kit Bond made the following statement:
“I guess Senator Boxer was too afraid to find out what her bill would actually cost America’s families, farmers, and workers,” said Bond.
